修験者のような姿をした魔人型デジモン。大天狗デジモンの配下であり、その顔はカラスそのものである。修験道に長けており、験力（げんりき）を自在に操る。カラテンモンの持つ２本の剣は「伊由太加の剣（いらたかのけん）」と呼ばれており、強力な呪力を封じ込めてある。得意技の『悟り（さとり）』は相手の心を読みとって先回りし攻撃する技。必殺技は漆黒の翼を羽ばたかせ、衝撃波と共に羽を相手に打ち込む『衝撃羽（しょうげきは）』。※カラテンモンは「デジモンウェブドット絵コンテスト」で茨城県の「嶋真樹さん」のデジモンが入賞し、採用されたものです。
