上空４０,０００ｍの成層圏に生息する幻の聖鳥型デジモン。巨大な６枚の翼を持ち、一番大きな翼を広げた時の翼開張は３０ｍにも達する。天空の守護者として伝承されており、デジタルワールド創世のころから存在していた古代種デジモンであると伝えられている。ヴァロドゥルモンの羽毛は聖なる光『パージシャイン』を常時発しており、邪悪な思念を持つ攻撃を１００％無効化してしまうバリアとして身にまとっている。必殺技は、『パージシャイン』の浄化の光を最大に増幅させて放つ『オーロラアンジュレーション』。この技は星をも砕く威力を持つと云われており、光速で放たれるために回避はほぼ不可能である。
