“火”の属性をもつ、古代デジタルワールドを救った伝説の十闘士デジモン。遥か古代に存在した初めての究極体で、その強さは現在の究極体をも凌駕すると伝えられており、正に“究極”の存在である。エンシェントグレイモンの能力は、その後グレイモン種等の“竜型デジモン”に引き継がれていった。先の聖戦ではエンシェントガルルモンと共に最後まで生き残り、ルーチェモンを封印したと言われている。必殺技は大地の気を集め竜巻にして敵を巻き込み吹き飛ばす『ガイアトルネード』と、強烈な閃光とともに周囲数キロにわたって超爆発を引き起こす『オメガバースト』。
