九本の尻尾をはやした巨大な狐の姿をした妖獣型デジモン。破滅と崩壊をもたらす妖獣と恐れられているが、古の時代では平和の世に現れる使者として崇められていた。レナモンの中でも特に能力が高く、多くの経験を積んだものがキュウビモンに進化できると言われている。攻撃力そのものは強くないが、強大な精神力を持っており“術系”の技を得意としている。青く燃え盛る四肢で天をも駆けると言われている。得意技は鬼火を出現させ意のままに操る『鬼火玉』。必殺技は尻尾から燃え盛る青炎の龍を出現させ敵を焼き尽くす『狐炎龍』。
