鼻先にサイの様なツノを生やした鎧竜型デジモン。その巨大なツノは成長すると体長の半分をしめるほどの大きさになる。ツノの部分と体の半分を覆う硬質な物質はダイアモンドと同質の硬度を持ち、このツノを持ってして貫けない物は無いと言われている。モノクロモンは攻守共に優れているデジモンといえる。草食性で性格は比較的おとなしいが、ひとたび怒らせるとその重戦車の様な体から恐ろしい反撃を繰り出してくる。必殺技は強力な火炎弾『ヴォルケーノストライク』。
