コンピュータネットワークの防御壁を守る、マシーン型のデジモン。もともとは「ネットキーパー」のギロモンと共にネットワークの防御壁を不法に進入してくるものを撃退していたデジモンだった。しかし、その鉄壁の防御能力に目を付けた悪質なハッカーが、ガードロモン自体にコンピュータウィルスを感染させて、ワクチン属性の正義の集団「ウィルスバスターズ」達から身を守るために利用している。基本的にガードロモンには「防御」のプログラム命令しかないため、立場が変わっても侵入者を防げれば大きな問題ではないのだ。必殺技は不法侵入者を、世界の果てまで追い詰めて破壊してしまう『ディストラクショングレネード』。不法侵入しない限りガードロモンから攻撃をしかけることはない。
