Welcome to this week's Digimon game and card game news roundup for late October 2026. Bandai Namco is making significant moves to connect physical trading card play with digital mobile and console gaming platforms.
Digimon Alysion Pre-Registration Opens
Bandai Namco has officially launched global pre-registration for Digimon Alysion across 49 countries on iOS and Android. This free-to-play mobile adaptation of the physical Digimon Card Game features a Digimon Liberator story mode with full voice acting for characters like Kanata, Futre, Valner, and Renamon. Pre-registering grants milestone rewards including Pack Tickets, Gemmon, and SR cards for 'MetalGarurumon' and 'WarGreymon', paving the way for physical tie-in starter decks featuring 'Rubeusdramon' and 'Yukinamon' coming in December 2026.
TCG Tournaments and Story Expansion News
Local card shops are concluding Evolution Cup Vol. 3 by October 31, where participants are competing for exclusive promo cards featuring 'Tsunomon', 'Merukimon', and Minervamon, while Official Store Tournament Vol. 4 remains ongoing through December. On console platforms, Digimon Story: Time Stranger continues its strong momentum following its mid-2026 Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 launches, with developers confirming a major 2027 story expansion teasing the return of Aegiomon.
Digimon UP Mobile RPG Progress
Meanwhile, the upcoming free-to-play mobile title Digimon UP remains on track for its late 2026 release window. Combining modern pixel-art graphics with classic virtual-pet raising systems, Digivice mechanics, and trading card elements, the title highlights Bandai Namco's broader strategy to expand mobile accessibility alongside flagship console releases.
Players should visit the iOS App Store or Google Play Store to pre-register for Digimon Alysion and unlock launch milestones. Physical TCG players can sign up via the Bandai TCG+ app for remaining Evolution Cup Vol. 3 events before October 31, while fans can read free Digimon Liberator webcomic chapters to get acquainted with the upcoming mobile story cast.
