This is a massive story expansion for the highly successful JRPG Digimon Story: Time Stranger, scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 in 2027. Set three years after the main game's climax, the DLC introduces a brand-new protagonist, unexplored regions in the Digital World: Iliad, and over 50 additional Digimon to scan and raise.
Digimon Card Game Ban List and Digimon Alysion Updates
A major shakeup has hit the physical Digimon Card Game meta as the September ban list is now officially active. Effective September 1, 2026, the Yellow Digi-Egg card BT15-003 Nyaromon has been completely banned from tournament play. Bandai Namco explained that Nyaromon and its memory-gain and security-trashing effects accelerated the game pace too quickly, limiting future card design. Meanwhile, the upcoming digital simulator Digimon Alysion remains on track for a December 2026 release.
