Console and Mobile Game Updates
On the console front, the hit RPG Digimon Story: Time Stranger made its official debut on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on July 10, 2026. Producer Ryosuke Hara confirmed that a massive story expansion DLC is actively in development for 2027. This upcoming DLC will partially incorporate the results of the 139th Digimon Referendum fan vote and will feature the return of Aegiomon. Meanwhile, the newly released free-to-play mobile RPG and virtual pet simulator, Digimon Up!, has completed its launch window. The developers completed their first major post-launch maintenance on August 5, 2026, wrapping up early events to prepare for future content updates.
Digimon Card Game Regionals and Alysion Status
For competitive players, Bandai has rolled out the schedule for the Digimon Card Game World Championship 26-27 Regionals Season 2. European regional tournaments kick off this month, starting with Rotterdam, Netherlands on August 8-9 and Madrid, Spain on August 15-16. Players can register via the Bandai TCG+ app. On the other hand, the highly anticipated mobile card game Digimon Alysion remains without a concrete release date. Despite earlier teasers showcasing PvP features and UI improvements, the game has gone quiet since spring, leaving the community cautiously optimistic.
