Welcome to this week's Digimon franchise roundup for October 7, 2026. We have an exciting mix of updates spanning video games, anime celebrations, manga releases, and card game news that every digital world adventurer should know.
Time Stranger DLC and Anime Celebrations
Today marks the official launch of the Parallelmon DLC for Digimon Story: Time Stranger, where players must investigate digital chaos caused by Parallelmon. This surprise release keeps fans engaged ahead of the massive story expansion, A Hero's Eternal Legacy, coming in 2027. Meanwhile, the franchise's 30th anniversary kicked off on October 4 with a special HD remastered rebroadcast of fan-voted episodes from Adventure, 02, Tamers, and Frontier, featuring a new crossover opening with the song SHAKARIKI!! by Ayumi Miyazaki and Takayoshi Tanimoto.
New Digimon Eggs Manga and Alysion TCG Updates
On the publishing front, the new manga Digimon Eggs by Ayumu Minato launched globally on Manga Plus, following seventh-grader Izumo Rindo and his partner 'Suzumon'. For card game enthusiasts, anticipation builds for the digital TCG Digimon Alysion, which has a tentative iOS App Store release date of November 6, 2026. Physical players can also look forward to the Rubeusdramon ST-25 and Yukinamon ST-26 starter decks featuring 'Rubeusdramon' and 'Yukinamon' on December 4, 2026.
Evolution Cup Vol. 3 and Card Game Meta Shifts
The physical Digimon Card Game is currently hosting its Evolution Cup 2026 Vol. 3 tournament series throughout October. This is the first major competitive month following the September banlist update that completely banned Nyaromon (BT15-003) to slow down the aggressive meta. Competitors now have the chance to win exclusive alternate-art cards featuring 'Tsunomon', 'Merukimon', and Minervamon.
To stay ahead, players should download the new DLC for Digimon Story: Time Stranger on their preferred platform, read the first chapter of Digimon Eggs on Manga Plus, pre-register for Digimon Alysion, and sign up for local Evolution Cup Vol. 3 events using the TCG+ app.
