Welcome to this week's Pokémon gaming news roundup for October 29, 2026. From major new physical bundle launches and exciting in-game global challenges to upcoming mobile milestones and server shutdown announcements, here is everything Pokémon players need to know across console and mobile platforms today.
Legends Z-A Switch 2 Bundle and Spewpa Event
The bundled physical edition of Pokémon Legends: Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition alongside its expansion, Mega Dimension, officially arrives in stores and digital shops today. This package includes both the base game and DLC featuring the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa on a single game card, complete with a Mystery Gift code for 100 Ultra Balls. Alongside the launch, an active online distribution offers Spewpa capable of evolving into 16 rare Vivillon patterns. If the global community evolves 660,000 Spewpa before November 19, 2026, all players will unlock a special Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon distribution.
GO Halloween Raids and UNITE End of Service
Pokémon GO has launched its Halloween 2026 event featuring costumed Pikachu, Zubat, and Sinistea, along with Origin Forme 'Giratina' in 5-star raids. On October 31, players can participate in the Mega Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day, introducing a new Super Max Level mechanic and the move Ominous Wind+. Meanwhile, The Pokémon Company and TiMi Studio Group announced that Pokémon UNITE will permanently end service on March 23, 2027. In-game Aeos Gem purchases have been disabled as of October 27, though farewell events and the Aeos Crown 2027 tournament in Tokyo will continue until shutdown.
TCG Pocket 2nd Anniversary and Roadmap Shift
Pokémon TCG Pocket kicks off its 2nd Anniversary campaign on October 30, bringing free rarity booster pack exchange tickets, PROMO card reissue events, and the introduction of Dual-Type cards. In addition to the anniversary festivities, developers announced a strategic operational shift that slows regular expansion releases from every four weeks to every six weeks, allowing players more time to complete sets.
To make the most of this week's events, players should claim their Mystery Gift Spewpa in Pokémon Legends: Z-A to contribute to the global goal, save raid passes in Pokémon GO for the October 31 Mega Chandelure raid event, spend any remaining Aeos Gems in Pokémon UNITE before March 2027, and log into Pokémon TCG Pocket on October 30 for anniversary rewards.
