Legends Z-A Physical Bundle and Switch 2 Enhancements
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced a physical cartridge bundle combining Pokémon Legends: Z-A and its Mega Dimension DLC on a single card, releasing on October 29, 2026. While fully playable on the original Nintendo Switch, this bundle is optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2, offering improved performance, resolution, and frame rates. Physical purchases will also include a serial code for 100 Ultra Balls.
Pokémon HOME Retro GBA Connectivity and Storage Expansion
A major update to Pokémon HOME (Version 4.1.0) has rolled out, introducing one-way connectivity with the classic Game Boy Advance titles Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen. Players can now transfer their retro pocket monsters into HOME one box at a time. Additionally, Premium membership storage has been expanded to 300 boxes, allowing players to store up to 9,000 Pokémon, and support has been added for creatures caught in GO Safari Balls.
Space Week and Zorua Community Day in Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO is celebrating World Space Week in partnership with the European Space Agency, featuring the debut of Astronaut Pikachu at participating science and space museums. Additionally, the upcoming Community Day on Saturday, October 10, will put the spotlight on Zorua in the wild with boosted shiny rates. Evolving Zorua during the event window will grant a Zoroark that knows the Fast Attack Sucker Punch.
Mighty Tyranitar Raid Ends and Twitch Drops Announced
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the 7-star Ghost Tera Type Mighty Tyranitar raid event is concluding today, October 8, at 23:59 UTC. Make sure to defeat this level 100 powerhouse to claim your single catch per save file. Looking ahead, the Pokémon Night Out show in Los Angeles on October 24 will be livestreamed globally on Twitch and YouTube, offering viewers an exclusive avatar jersey via Twitch Drops.
To make the most of this week, boot up your Nintendo Switch immediately to challenge Mighty Tyranitar before the raid portal closes tonight. Next, update your Pokémon HOME app to Version 4.1.0 to secure the expanded storage space and prepare your retro transfers.
