Welcome to the Pokémon TCG news roundup for October 30, 2026. Today brings a wave of major updates across physical card releases, upcoming expansions, digital apps, and promotional collaborations. From ready-to-play battle decks arriving on store shelves to upcoming shifts in the competitive Standard format, here is everything you need to know about the current state of the game.
New Battle Decks and Standard Meta Status
Official stores today welcome the 30th Celebration Battle Decks featuring Espeon ex and Umbreon ex. These ready-to-play products build upon September's all-foil anniversary expansion. On the competitive front, the Standard format remains completely ban-free and continues to operate under Regulation Marks H, I, and J following the rotation of G mark cards earlier this year. Players can expect tournament standings to stay stable as the current meta prepares for incoming set additions.
Mega Evolution Delta Reign Approaching Launch
Build and Battle prerelease events for the next main expansion, Mega Evolution—Delta Reign (ME06), are wrapping up this week. The set features over 135 new cards, including high-impact Pokémon like 'Mega Rayquaza ex' and 'Talonflame ex'. Digital players will get their first taste when the expansion lands on Pokémon TCG Live on November 5, followed by the physical store launch and Elite Trainer Box releases on November 6.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Second Anniversary Update
On the mobile side, Pokémon TCG Pocket kicks off its 2nd Anniversary Campaign today, running through December 15. The event introduces daily login pack tickets, reissued B Series promo events, and fresh collection missions. The update also debuts the Dual Fusion series, bringing Dual-type cards headlined by 'Mega Mewtwo X ex' while adjusting the regular pack release schedule from four weeks to six weeks.
McDonald's 2026 Happy Meal Promo Set
Fast-food collector news arrived today with details on the 2026 McDonald's Pokémon Happy Meal promotion starting November 10 in the US. The 15-card mini-set carries the M26 set symbol and comes packaged with 3D collectible mini box charms. Players and collectors can look forward to foil reprints of popular cards such as Chandelure, Palafin, and Zoroark.
To get ahead of the shifting landscape, competitive players should begin theorycrafting decks featuring 'Mega Rayquaza ex' before the digital launch on November 5. Mobile fans should log into Pokémon TCG Pocket starting today to collect anniversary gift tickets and test out Dual-type mechanics. Meanwhile, collectors can grab the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks in stores now while securing pre-orders for Delta Reign products.
