Welcome to our October 28, 2026 Pokémon TCG roundup. Following the release of the 30th Celebration set, the competitive Standard landscape is settling into a distinct meta while players look forward to the next main expansion. Here is everything you need to know about recent tournament results, product releases, and current format rules.
30th Celebration Drop and Delta Reign Preview
The 30th Celebration expansion products hit store shelves on October 2, 2026, offering Booster Bundles, Mini Tins, and the Deck Crafter’s Collection. Highlighted by 30 collectible Pikachu cards alongside impressive artwork for Mewtwo ex, Mew ex, and Greninja ex, this release has been a major hit for collectors and players alike. Looking ahead, the next main Standard expansion, Delta Reign (set code ME06), is scheduled to release on November 6, 2026. This upcoming set continues the Mega Evolution block and is headlined by 'Mega Rayquaza ex'.
Meta Snapshot: Dragapult ex Dominates Regional Puebla
On the competitive scene, Dragapult ex has firmly established itself as the top tier-1 deck in the post-30th Celebration Standard format, capturing over 30% of the metagame share. At Regional Puebla on October 24, 2026, pilot Andrew Hedrick took 1st place with Dragapult ex. While secondary contenders like N's Zoroark ex, 'Alakazam Dudunsparce', and various 'Basic Box' builds placed high, Dragapult ex remains the undisputed target for competitive deck building.
Standard Format Status and Ban List Check
The current Standard environment remains clean, consisting exclusively of cards with Regulation Marks H, I, and J following the April 2026 rotation that removed Mark G staples like Iono, Arven, and Gardevoir ex. Official Play! Pokémon rules confirm that there are currently 0 banned cards in the Standard format, keeping all standard bans restricted exclusively to the Expanded format.
To stay competitive in upcoming League Cups and Regionals, players should adapt their lists with tech cards against Dragapult ex spread damage or pilot fast counter-picks like 'Alakazam Dudunsparce'. Be sure to audit your deckboxes so all cards carry regulation marks H, I, or J, and finalize your pre-orders for Delta Reign before its November 6 street date.
